President Tom Olson asked for people to pay their dues. We expressed our condolences to Dick Creswell for  daughter Janice's passing. Present were 30 members and 2 guests. Carol Ann Garrett was the speaker and spoke of her Western Round the World in a Mooney Trips. In my 10 years in 229, she was the best speaker by far and evidenced by by the fact she held everyone's attention and that no one left early <G>.  Her goal was to raise awareness and funds for solving the ALS disease. Thanks to Jonathan Cook for setting this up. He has an Rv project for sale since he purchased a flying one now. Shop keys were purchased by newer members Mike Perry (Longeze in Kissimmee) and Ryan Michalkiewicz (Corvair awaiting rebuild and Piet project in Lake Wales).  Ryan, you might want to keep abreast of Ray Mallette's possible Corvair rebuild at some time in the future. Another newer guy is Toby Tiffney. He's going to Georgia to pickup a Zenith 701 STOL with 5 hours in phase one. He has a 150 on the ramp here. Earle Richardson received a round of applause for being the webmaster. Bob Williams has a hanger available for temporary use while he's doing the wing wiring on his Cessna project. Luke Bowman asks members to fill out the SNF volunteer forms and leave inside 229 hanger. Bud Davidson gave a status on SNF and the need for a written agreement concerning our efforts there. He believes more paper documentation is required from Dick Creswell's computer. He also advised a new site plane is evolving so things might be different when you go. Allen Brown's RV has had a Subaru engine run and received an upgraded computer system for it. Bob Ferguson is getting ready to solo but wants to know why Florida never asks for a Student License while his home state, Penn,  does. I continue to try to motivate Charles Edgington to resume work on his Hummelbird.  Member Warren Krabbe is looking for sport pilot instruction in a taildragger so he can fly in the 601 inside 229..Katie Gilbert  thinks she may be moving to GIF in 6-8 weeks with her 20 year project: Rutan Viggen. Steve Megill made it to the meeting after having a heart attack recently. I'm disappointed no one told me; probably a card would have been nice.. Ask Mike Bauer about his tooth extraction and squeezing his tall, lanky body into the rear fuselage of his RV4 project to back rivet the turtle deck. Not finished with it, he may sell his RV3 to finance a new RV4. Somehow he and his brother will both end up with RV's. X-president, Charley Storey, is recovering nicely from his surgery. Welcome back to Rick Woltjer.  Everett Williston dropped in late and disappeared too quick to give any status.
