Newsletter distribution is via email to each person, an electronic copy on the website and a paper copy on the hanger bulletin board. Target distribution is shortly before the monthly First Saturday meeting. The Newsletter is just fact, fiction, rumor, a mistake or opinion <G>.

Still need some of those missing dues paid..

President Tom Olson and Jonathon Cook are working hard on finding speakers. Feel free to give a speech and feed the animals if you dare <G>. Scheduled for this Saturdays meeting is Paradise USA of Sebring, Fl.

Sun 'n Fun has supplied the rope and pvc but the tie downs are still coming. Purportedly a letter delineating our agreement with Sun 'n Fun on tiedown sales is forthcoming per Luke Bowman and Bud Davidson. Toby Tiffany went to Georgia to purchase a partially built 701 project but unfortunately the seller backed out . Toby will be able to keep flying his Cessna while building his recently ordered quick build tail kit. Guess everyone knows that Dick Jason is flying the new Sonex now. Ed Rice is helping Derrell Brown with his Cub project. There might be a picture on the website. BTW, thanks to Earle Richardson for again providing the chapter website. We could show our appreciation by forwarding some photos to him. Walt Dix's sheet metal working skills are improving as judged by the piece he showed the writer recently. Kudos to Jack Doke for his efforts in achieving a 4 year cancer-free milestone. Mike Hoffman dropped by and showed me a way to dress a horizontal stabilizer leading edge dent on the Ray Mallett/Warren Krabbe 601 project. He also demonstrated the Vixen file use on an edge of thin sheet metal. Carl Johnson had a nice looking aluminum door under construction.

Ray Boyles photo of his Searey is on the website and sent the following message: It is "almost" done. The engine has been started and runs great. We still need to synchronize the carburetors, adjust the prop, and do some minor tasks before it is ready for its final inspections. We should have it in the air in March.

Small world. While the tour bus was careening around hairpin curves at high speed on St. Thomas during last weeks cruise, my wife said "that fellow mentioned experimental airplanes". Sure enough, he was a president for EAA Chapter 1020 in Freemont, Wyoming. His chapter was heavily into flying kids and ultra lights. He had a Cessna 172 and was building a Lancair with his grown son.

Anyone wanting to submit any info or articles, please do <G>. Feel free to volunteer to cut the grass also. Last time I used the woodworker.
