MINUTES OF JANUARY 2010 MEETING

 

Treasures report: it was reported that we have in excess of $18,000.00+ in the bank  Mel will be balancing the books, and will have an accurate total for us at the next meeting.

 

The locks were changed at a cost of $100.00 including the keys, the front lock was also repaired as it was about to fall apart.  Keys are $3.00 apiece

 

SUN-N-FUN  Tie downs. a web search revealed the the cost of the tie down stakes ranged from $2.99 to $7.99 apiece.  since we didn't get a response from our normal supplier, we found a new one. Prosperity Tool inc. based in Plant city will be able to get what we need at a cost of $1.75 per tie down stake.  This will result in the cost being $400.00 per thousand more than before.  Also the first Sun-n-fun volunteer meeting will be held on Jan 30, 2010. (sorry)   It was noted that the Thunderbirds will be flying this year, and there will be a special guest for next year.  If you want to know who, just show up to the meeting.

 

It was discussed about having students from the school of aviation help with the tie downs due to the expected increase in aircraft volume.  Present Bauer will be checking on this.

 

50/50 drawing was won by Duke, and donated to the club.  Talking about donations, there was an $80.00 donation made to the club.  THANK-YOU!
